The day was half standing around waiting and nonsense. His run took the drama in the morning when we wanted to go to Alcatraz. The tickets we had paid in advance and printed. Actually, we have We will also no longer have to stand in the queue, but we asked for a sign on it and there were already other with the printed ticket in hand. My attempt to ask the ranger at the box office if the whole thing ended in any sense "I will not answer your question, get in the line" with the words. So we turned back on and finally got a flyer slipped with little content. Has indeed paid off! After that first we ate our breakfast brought along the golden M and waited for boarding. When the boarding went off at some point we have to be classified, and finally again to stand for half an hour in line. Eventually we arrived but then on the ship and went first on that day to the island.
A ranger told a bit about the prison, but we went to the masses in the direction of Cell House tour and visited the prison wing from the inside. Once we were outside, like yesterday, Gone with the wind strong. Alcatraz is worthwhile in any case, if only because of the views of the Bay. A U.S. prison one else sees indeed not from the inside! After about two hours we drove back to San Francisco and treated ourselves to a cheeseburger at In'n'Out.
then went back there to shop at Union Square. Kathy proved successful in Levis and I at Abercrombie (here comes more safely!). At Union Square there was even free ice cream from Ben & Jerry's, make a promo tour in the USA. The promotional key ring then stood out as USB flash drives. Well, well! We drove our prey to the hotel and from there we tried to Coit Tower to come. Yesterday we had already been waiting several minutes before Fisherman's Wharf and today did not come the 39 bus. Walking on we did not want, so we waited a bit and at some point was actually the bus! From Coit Tower, we enjoyed the view over the city and the wind cooled us off further. Because we were hungry and we wanted to warm up to us, we found a cafe at Pier 39 with views of the sea lions and ate dinner. On the way back to the hotel we waited about 25 minutes on the tram, which was obviously completely full. Eventually we arrived at the Market Street and ran two blocks to our bus stop where we waited more then about 45 minutes on the bus! Note: Public transportation in San Francisco combined with a Saturday night is an absolute no go!
morning we pick up our rental car and then drive to Yosemite National Park. Let's see if there's internet ...
